Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Bible Study 1 on 1/11/11
Thanks for stopping by and joining along on our very first group discussion. I am excited and I hope that you are as well.
At the beginning of the week, I asked the question of "Who is Yahweh" and I also provided you with the scripture of the week which was Exodus 3:13-15. You were encourage to read those assigned verses and come back so that we may discuss it in full.
I will take the honor of answering the question first and then I will open floor for any comments you may have, whether it be anything you find different or would like to add.
Yahweh is exactly who He says He is. We call Him Yahweh for who He is and we call him God for what he does. The same aspect is true for when we praise Him for who He is and thank Him for what He has done. From the account that Moses, we are able to proclaim that:
1. Yahweh is Father.
2. Yahweh is Father to our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
3. Yahweh is the great I AM.
4. Yahweh is the name of God.
5. Yahweh intends to be called by His name FOREVER.
"Why?" you ask. "Why does God want to be called Yahweh, I've never heard of this before, Kyla. Where are you getting your facts from?"
I'll go back to the original question to answer the one just posed. "Who is Yahweh?"
Yahweh your Creator, He is your Father. Yahweh has always demonstrated the fact that He wants a relationship with you. Look at who God is to you. He's always there uplifting you, forgiving you, disciplining you, teaching you. He knows more about you than you know about yourself and that means Yahweh wants to be personal and intimate with you. He doesn't want to be referred to as His title. We have names and we are called by our names not by the things we do. Think about it, you rarely grow close to your boss because you act according to what you call this individual. You put up boundaries and Yahweh doesn't want anything separating you from Him, not even a title.
To answer your second question, I ask that you do a little class participation and grab your bibles. If your bible has a preface which most do, then you will find the facts for yourself. I will write down a bit of what is written in a New International Version bible:
"In regard to the divine name YHWH, commonly referred to as the Tetragrammaton, the translation adopted the device used in most English versions of rendering that name as "Lord" in capital letters to distinguish it from Adonai, another Hebrew word rendered "Lord", for which small letters are used." -The Committee on Bible Translation
You never heard of the name Yahweh before because you weren't suppose to hear about it. They aren't preaching the name YHWH in church and many of us prefer to read from a newly translated version of the Holy Bible, myself included. If they can change the very thing that connects you to Yahweh, what else might have been changed and adapted or in other words, dumbed down?
To conclude this bible study, I saw to you that you know who Yahweh is and if you claim that you do not, then I advise that you pick up a book or two to find out for yourself. I mean, you're currently on the Internet, type in the name Yahweh (YHWH) and see what you find yourself. There is no excuse to walk around blinded by ignorance anymore, the Truth will always remain.
Thank you YHWH for blessing this time as holy. I pray that each and every being that sets eyes upon this page leave with a better understanding of You and that Your Kingdom be established here on earth. Thank you for using me as a vessel. As I continue to learn Lord, I will promise to teach others. May you receive the glory, the honor and the praise.
So this is YaHWeH

Who is Yahweh?
Shalom.
Thanks for coming back. Being that this is our first week of study, I think it would be appropriate and wise if we started with the most simplest of questions because most or many of us may not be aware of who or what YHWH is.
So I ask, Who is YAHWEH?
I would have been unable to answer this question a few years back. It wasn't until slightly after living for a quarter of a century that I had become introduced to the name Yahweh. Sadly, I don't believe that that was by coincidence either. From the moment we are born into this world we become fed and raised up by the world. We slowly become products of our environment and lose touch with He that is in us. Isn't it ironic that we can lose that which lives right 'inside' of us? The trick of the enemy is just that though, it is his duty to keep you from knowing who your God is. If you don't know what to call Him; how can you call upon Him?
This week's study verses comes from Exodus 3:13-15 which reads:
And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Study, meditate and pray. I'll see you back here in a few days to get the answer to this week's question and to open up the floor for any comments and questions as they portray to the question and verses above.
Be well.

What's this all ABOUT?
Shalom and Welcome.
You've made it and I'm glad that you did!!
This blog in particular was created specifically for you and I. I used my imagination and designed this blog for you and I to meet up and have weekly discussions on Yahweh. This blog will further our understanding of God and how He does and has moved in our lives and those that have come before us.
At the beginning of each week which is Friday evening for now (the day following the Sabbath), I will post a biblical scripture taken from the King James Version for us all to read. This will be the verse of the week for us to study and meditate upon. I will also pose a question to be answered? On Tuesday evening we will meet back up for our group discussion. This is the day where we will share our answers (and no, there are no wrong answers here) and learn from what was brought to the table. The "good news" is that through this site we can do our part. We can and will spread our knowledge of the Most High to others and pass on the Word and wisdom that has been uniquely placed inside of each of us.
This is my attempt for us to become the supreme beings that we are called to be as children of Israel. I know that through our upbringing many of us believe that we have just entered into a 'new year'. I will touch upon this more in further detail as we begin our studies but for now, if that is you then I challenge you to bring that sense of newness along with you and do and be something that you haven't before. This is the first day of the best of your life because you made it and found your way here. You are special and you have been chosen. Thanks for joining me. May Yahweh bless you.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! -2 Corinithians 5:17
